Napa Valley Hotels
Candlelight Inn Bed and Breakfast

If you’re going to stay at the Candlelight Inn Bed and Breakfast, you might as well stay five days in a row, especially if you’re relatively new to the Napa Valley. The reason is that while many area hotels and inns offer suggestions for exploring the region, the Candlelight actually provides a complete suggested itinerary—but it’s five days long. The first day features wine tasting and suggests routes so you can drive from winery to winery, starting and ending at the Candlelight Inn and without wasting time or gas. The day finishes back at the Inn with complimentary wine and cheese, and a relaxing in-room massage. The second day is focused on the town of Napa, and includes more wine and some amazing food. On the third day they recommend going to the town of Calistoga, ...
The Carneros Inn

Sometimes you read about some fancy-shmancy place, and it sounds just great until you read the scary customer reviews. You know that kind of place? Well, the Carneros Inn is really NOT that kind of place. If anything, the consistent customer raves make it sound even better than the Inn’s own website does. Carneros is a true resort, spanning some 27 acres of scenic vineyard and apple orchard, with private little cottages of various sizes scattered throughout. One of those cottages is where you get to live during your stay here, and—this is just a quick example of Carneros awesomeness—the cottages have private outdoor showers. They also have indoor showers, of course, but how cool would it be to shower under the stars? There are two complete pool and hot-tub complexes on the property, one that welcomes ...
Marriott Napa Valley Hotel and Spa

Accommodations in the Napa Valley range from cute and practical to posh and luxurious. At $197 per night and up, the Napa Valley Marriott Hotel & Spa is not exactly cheap, but with an impressive four star rating, you get what you pay for. This luxury hotel offers itself as a reason for a vacation all by itself. Plus, its location in the town of Napa offers convenient access to the region’s many attractions. The Marriott Napa Valley also serves as a location for business meetings, conferences, and other events. Customer reviews are generally positive, but some complain that internet access is expensive--expensive or not, internet access is not free. Some visitors recommend the hotel as a good, but perhaps not excellent place to stay while in town. Nevertheless, the Marriott offers an impressive list ...
Meritage Resort and Spa

The Meritage Resort and Spa is a four-star hotel situated in idyllic Napa Valley, California. The luxury hotel and resort is located among Napa hills and has its own private vineyards. The destination with Tuscan inspired architecture is one of the classiest hotels in Napa Valley. The comfortable guest rooms feature oversized terraces, granite counters, plasma TVs, tile floors and internet access. The luxurious sites lead you to the private Estate Wine Cave, where you can enjoy Meritage’s own wine from the Trinitas Cellars. Pick up a bottle of your favorite wine and enjoy it in your room, gazing onto the vast Meritage vineyards. The award winning Siena restaurant will offer you healthy food, made by their experienced chefs who use only local, seasonal and sustainable ingredients to create delicious meals. You can dine in or choose ...
The Vino Bello Resort

The Vino Bello Resort might possibly be cheating, but don’t hold it against them. The “resort” part of their name refers mostly to their partnership with the Meritage Resort right next door. So you get access to Spa Terra and all of its decadent services and treatments, the Estate Wine Cave and Meritage Wine Tasting Bar, and The Meritage’s Siena Restaurant. Then you get to “come home” to your spacious hotel room with the whirlpool right by your bed at the Vino Bello. Even if the Vino Bello doesn’t have its own spa, that’s still a pretty sweet deal, especially since both facilities follow the same stylish Tuscan theme. Rooms include either kitchenettes or fully equipped kitchens, plasma TVs (note the plural), wireless internet, a balcony, and a shower with five heads. You get a complimentary ...
Westin Verasa Napa

The Westin Verasa Napa is seriously committed to all things heavenly; there is the hotel's signature Heavenly Bed (lots of comfy pillows and nice sheets), the Heavenly Bath (complete with robes, slippers, and potpourri), the Heavenly Crib for babies, and even the Heavenly Dog Bed. That’s right, not only can you bring your dog, the hotel can even provide a dog bed, dog treats, and a kind of dog related concierge service—the website includes a list of places to walk and exercise your dogs, plus dog-friendly restaurants and wineries. Not that the hotel is particularly focused on dogs; the hotel is focused on guests, and some of the guests have dogs. Whether cats, ferrets, or other companion animals are welcome too is not clear, though it’s fun to imagine what sort of Heavenly amenities might ...
Silverado Resort And Spa

At last! A hotel that offers wedding planning where customer reviews include reviews of the wedding! And yes, the marrying couples gave good reviews. You have a variety of venue options, both indoors and out, and they will cater for you whether you’ve got a group of 50 or of 500. They don’t just stop at weddings and business meetings, either; they do everything from baby showers to memorials, with Bar Mitzvahs and Bat Mitzvahs, charity auctions, or whatever else you might need thrown in. The other really unusual thing is that this hotel is also a country club. The Silverado boasts two golf courses, and a number of tennis courts and no less than ten pools, plus a gated condominium community on site. You can rent condos for extended vacations, if you want. Many of ...
La Residence Country Inn

We have a hunch some of you have been planning your weddings since long before you even met your fiance. Come on, admit it; the white dress, the lovely cake, the ceremony set among redwoods, old oaks, and fountains, the reception with the sparkling wine toasts…and afterwards, you and your love retire to a sumptuous suite complete with a romantic fire place? Yeah, we have your number, and La Residence has got you covered. Basically, you provide the dress and the fiancé, and they’ll take care of everything else. You can even hire your photographer through La Residence. But we also know that some of you are not just dreaming about weddings but actually planning weddings, and along about now you may be seriously considering chucking the whole project and eloping—and you can elope to La ...
Meritage Resort and Spa

Even people who don’t like resorts might be tempted by this four-star, Tuscan-themed offering. Rooms start at $143 per night, so this isn’t exactly cheap, but for what they offer, it’s not expensive, either; the spa is in an artificial cave, after all. Your companion animals can even stay with you, though there may be extra charges. The spa is fairly well integrated with the other services—it’s not like a hotel with a spa attached. It’s possible to order spa treatments in your own room, if you ask two hours ahead of time, and the cave itself has a small lunch menu. Spa treatments can cost over four hundred dollars, but one assumes this is an example of “you get what you pay for,” because lunch in the cave is reasonably priced. You can have ...
The White House Inn & Spa—Bed and Breakfast

It seems, based on customer reviews, that the White House Inn and Spa might have a serious problem; the beds, you see, are so comfortable that you might not be able to get out of them long enough to go enjoy wine country. Should you have this difficulty, however, you are urged to remain calm. A supply of house-made cookies comes with the room, and a full breakfast will be delivered every morning, at no extra charge. If you have to leave early in the morning for some reason, just speak to the staff about it ahead of time; they’ve been known to fix a travel breakfast for folks getting up too early to eat at the Inn. While you are lying around in bed, thinking about the excellent wine you could be tasting or the ...
