Hilton Garden Inn Napa

You want a little bit of everything? Try the Hilton Garden Inn Napa. Amenities start out with the basics, like an iron and ironing board, and laundry services, and go on from there. Rooms include a 37 inch flat panel television with pay-per-view movies, and a kitchenette with refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. There’s complimentary wired and wireless internet service, you can print to the Business Center from your room, and a newspaper is delivered right to your door every weekday morning. So far so good, but other than the nice beds, which the Hilton Garden Inn is very proud of, this sounds like a good place to stay on a business trip, but not much more, right? Wrong. You can book a special romantic package that features sparkling wine waiting for you when you arrive, free ...

Motel 6 Napa

And then there’s Motel 6. It’s kind of funny to actually review Motel 6, given that “Motel 6” is the standard insult for hotels hereabouts. When a customer wants to really make it obvious something is wrong, the phrase “Motel 6” almost inevitably comes up. And yet, the actual Motel 6 seems to be a pretty nice place. It’s not upscale, exactly, but as a place to put yourself overnight it certainly gets the job done. Kids under 17 years old can stay for free with an adult family member. Pets (including cats) can stay for free in most cases, though a small fee may apply; the only limitation is that the animals cannot cause health or safety problems. Service animals are welcomed. Accessible rooms are available, and if you find that you cannot book the ...
Wine Valley Lodge Hotel

The Wine Valley Lodge in Napa, California, is the affordable way to enjoy the beautiful Napa Valley. Rooms start at just $69. The convenient location, just a mile south of downtown Napa, puts you within easy reach of literally hundreds of premier wineries and restaurants. Complimentary high speed, wireless internet access in each room is a definite plus. The Lodge is rated a basic but respectable two stars. Amenities include the old standards, like cable TV and access to an ice machine, but free, convent parking, an outdoor picnic and barbeque area, and an outdoor pool are all nice touches. The continental breakfast, complimentary and available until 10AM, includes hot chocolate and Belgian waffles. Customer reviews have been varied; many appreciate the convenient price, the clean rooms, and the excellent service, but others complain about thin walls ...
The Chardonnay Lodge

The Chardonnay Lodge wins points for its affordable rates, its convenience (unlike many Napa hotels, there is no two-night minimum), and its sheer cuteness. Amenities are basic, including direct dial phones, color TV with cable, a microwave and mini-fridge in each room, and a choice between smoking and non-smoking rooms. The Lodge is not pet-friendly, which is either an amenity or a drawback, depending on personal perspective, and they deserve points, too, for welcoming service animals. Of course, hotels are legally required to welcome service animals, but coming right out and saying so is friendly and reassuring. There are drawbacks; this is a definite instance of getting what you pay for. Customer service is inconsistent, and while you can reserve rooms of a particular size, there is no guarantee that you’ll actually get what you picked. ...
Napa Discovery Inn

The Napa Discovery Inn is another instance of “you get what you pay for,” and you don’t have to pay much here; rooms start at just $67 a night. That being said, while there are definitely some negative reviews, some customers really like the place, calling it affordable, convenient, clean, and friendly. One perk is that the rooms are separated by individual car ports, meaning that you don’t share a wall with your neighbor and won’t have to hear any of your neighbor’s noises. Amenities include the basics: the front desk is staffed 24 hours a day; wake-up calls and concierge services are available; high speed Internet is complementary;and the equally complementary breakfast is very basic (just bagels and individually wrapped pastries) but serviceable, and your stomach may appreciate simple fare the morning after you taste ...
Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham Napa Valley

Sometimes you go to a hotel and maybe check out the area while you’re there. Other times you go to an area and maybe stay in a hotel while you’re there. Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham Napa Valley is definitely the latter sort of place, but sometimes that’s exactly what you’re looking for. Customer reviews praise the friendly service (if you don’t like the Hawthorn Suites’ fitness center, the people at the front desk will help you arrange a guest pass at another in town), the large rooms and comfortable beds, and the hearty, complimentary breakfast. Posh this isn’t, but who needs posh when you can spend your day exploring the Napa Valley? And the price is right for squeezing in a nice little vacation even at the height of the season when other hotels may ...

Chablis Inn

The Chablis Inn is last place on our list of Napa hotels—meaning it is by some measure the least popular. Since plenty of beloved places are near the bottom of the list, we figure there must be something funny about the ranking. So we were hoping that the last hotel would be the subject of wild raving by grateful customers—it would have been deliciously ironic. Well, there are no raves—but there are few complaints, either, just measured, solid praise. The Chablis Inn is a motel, but it’s a good motel, and they offer some services and perks that no one else does. The location is good, of course; this is Napa, after all, and even within Napa it’s pretty well-placed. The hotel is just a mile from both Napa Valley Drifters Hot Air Balloon and California Wine ...
